Ramana Gallery
“The teaching of Sri Ramana Maharshi is not a theory, not a philosophy, not a speculation; it is the expression
of direct experience and as such it is the most direct path to Self-realization.”
—Arthur Osborne
A Visual Journey of the Life and Teaching of Ramana Maharshi
offers an immersive and contemplative experience for visitors. This curated collection brings to life the extraordinary journey of Ramana Maharshi—from his early years in the small South Indian village of Tiruchuli, to the caves on the Arunachala Hill, and eventually to what is now Sri Ramanasramam.
The gallery features a striking series of sepia-toned and color photographs
some rare, and each accompanied by detailed captions that illuminate the story of Ramana’s life and teachings. Visitors are invited to move slowly through this space of images and words, pausing to absorb the quiet power that emanates from Ramana’s serene gaze and presence. The exhibit serves not only as a historical archive but also as a meditative space—an invitation to reflect on the teachings through the silent transmission captured in each photo.
